Why write here

So obviously these are in effect notes to myself, which would prompt some people to say why bother? But I am trying to train myself into writing my thoughts out. I am a great believer that in writing something down it forces you to think about it more deeply, just like talking to someone does, or sometimes, just talking to an AI does. It’s just a medium to trick your brain into thinking about something more deeply.

Now these notes would be better if I spent more time editing and going over them and seeing if they are understandable etc, but that would eat too much of my very short windows of time I have. But in my head, it’s better than not doing it.

It also is a way of keeping myself honest, it’s so easy to fall into a trap of just consuming. I’m not against consuming, but it can eat away at your life without you being aware of it and suddenly hours have passed and you’ve not really done anything. And not doing anything is also fine by the way! Sometimes my brain just needs to bathe in nothing for a bit to reset. But I want to consciously make that decision and not be tricked into it.

Time is a resource I don’t have much have at this moment in my life, we’ve all been there and I want to spend it wisely. Or I just want to be more in control of where that time is spent.

And ultimately I just want to create “something” and have it out there, even if that something is just a jigsaw puzzle game. I have to fight my brain constantly from starting a million and one interesting things or jumping down rabbit holes, it would be nice to force myself into the discipline of finishing something that is my own.

Today I am going to try to go over the path to “live” and gather some puzzle collections together. I have done alot of work into picture curation, which I will go into in another post. But part of going live I am certain about is to have enough content for people to play the game without spending any money, but then wanting to, essentially, buy the game because there having a good experience and want more of a good experience. Not because they just want to get rid of the ads. No ads!
