Introduction

Hi,

So this is, or will be, a jigsaw puzzle game. Hopefully. Over lockdown I got into jigsaw puzzles (the real kind) and it was a great distraction, way to turn the brain off and enter peaceful mode. But there a bit of a pain to setup, store etc. Then I thought i’d see what jigsaw puzzle apps were available on my iPad, turns out quite alot. And I got into those as a quick pick up kind of thing. But they are all an advert ridden mess and in the back of my mind I always thought, I could do one of these surely. But without the ads and gunk that drive it away from being a peaceful cozy sort of experience (albeit on your device).

So that’s the target, a jigsaw puzzle app / web page with a focus on a peaceful, cozy experience. To actually finish it, or at least get it to something i’d be fairly proud of. I’ve been working on this on and off for months now, what you see here is not anywhere near where it started, but im at the point now where im just trying to get it to the point where it’s like, a 1.0 version.

I just want to make something that I think is good and that I would like to play and actually release it!And using AI to assist me in making it, and believe me I have plenty of issues with AI, has been a bit of a game changer. I am a programmer but it allows me to spin up ideas and try out things a hell of alot quicker than I would have been able to do in the past.I have very little spare time. I can spend an hour in the evening actually making progress towards an end or idea or refining a corner. I also have very little spare money.

That’s it. It’s 4 or 5 months now, of me just grabbing time when I can just making a silly little jigsaw game. But I have learnt a ton, and it’s been fun. So here’s hoping I actually get to the end!There is a playable link, but it’s very much a work in progress beta and up and down alot and things may break, disappear or generally just be a bit chaotic
